There’s a better way to remediate THC from hemp extract or distillate.
CBD Isolate is very popular due to its purity, but the minor cannabinoids are lost to the mother liquor.
Low THC or THC free hemp extracts are popular because they have the full spectrum of cannabinoids with little or no THC. The products will have all the beneficial effects of the minor cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN, and others) while still remaining compliant with nearly all regulations.
Solvent Free THC Removal
What if there was an automatic way to remediate THC that didn’t require the constant attention of skilled operator?
Even better, what if remediation didn’t use any solvents?
The SCB-15 can remediate 30-100 liters of CBD or CGB oil every 12- 24 hours. This system uses a unique combination of heat and vacuum to automatically remove THC to low or non-detect levels.
Save a step, no need to winterize crude extracts before processing. Save another step, no need to decarb crude extracts. Decarbing will happen naturally as part of the remediation process.
- Winterized or non-winterized crude extracts
- Decarbed on non-decarbed crude extracts
- Distillate
- Mother Liquor
- CBD or CBG
Add a NIR detector to continuously monitor cannabinoids during the remediation process. Automatically detect when the desired THC concentration(low T or no T) is reached.
LC and CPC
Liquid Chromatography and CPC are common methods for removing THC from hemp extract but the cost per kg of remediated oil is very high. There are also still many other steps to be able to do chromatography efficiently.
First you’ll need to winterize the extract and decarb it.
The extract will need to be distilled to increase the cannabinoid concentration before remediating through chromatography.
Next, you’ll need a chromatography setup or CPC machine and a skilled operator that will continuously monitor the separation process.
Then you’ll need solvent…lots and lots of solvent and then a solvent recovery process will be necessary to remove these solvents once the extract is purified.
At the end of this expensive process you probably only made 2-3 kg of THC free extract.

what could I expect my start up cost to be in using your system..

Units start at $325,000 USD and need to be paired with an HPLC (~$50,000 USD). The largest system is $500,000 USD.

This would include , Skid , install , training , SOP’s , as well as ability to test in house with the hplc ?

Yes, but we do not sell or offer training for an HPLC. However, if you need a brand recommendation, we have worked with certain companies in the past.

Do you offer financing or lease? In this current environment it’s difficult to justify a all out 1 time expense.

Hi,
No we don’t. There are plenty of leasing companies out there though.
It is even more difficult to collect leasing/licensing fees!
